It's a girl!

Bo and Laura Sharp of Driftwood announce the birth of their daughter, Kate Marie, born Nov. 19, 2008, at 11:37 a.m. at Seton Hospital in Austin.

Upon arrival, Kate weighed 8 pounds, 6 ounces and was 20 1/2 inches in length.

She joins a brother, Ethan.

Grandparents are Boyd and Karen Sharp of Lampasas, and Nancy Shaw of Austin.

Loyd and Vivian Hardin of DeLeon are the great-grandparents.

Son born

Ty Houston Borchardt was born to Rob and Brandi Borchardt of Cedar Park on Dec. 8, 2008, at 7:33 a.m. at St. David's Hospital in Austin.

At birth, Ty weighed 8 pounds, 11 ounces and was 19.5 inches in length.

He has a brother, Nate, and a sister, Addison.

Grandparents are Boyd and Karen Sharp, and Wayne and Linda Borchardt, all of Lampasas.

Great-grandparents are Loyd and Vivian Hardin of DeLeon, and Doris Hoyt of Dallas.
