Plant group gathering set

The Highland Lakes Chapter of the Native Plant Society of Texas will have its first meeting of the new year on Jan. 10 at 1 p.m. at the Marble Falls Public Library conference room.

Mark Klym, coordinator of the Texas Wildscapes program for the Texas Parks & Wildlife Department, will discuss the basics of a bird and butterfly habitat, as well as the role of native plants in this habitat and the contribution backyard habitants can make to the Texas Wildlife Action Plan.

The meeting is open to the public and visitors are welcome.
