Mr. Goodman

Harry Goodman Harry Goodman Harry Goodman of Dallas died Dec. 29, 2008. Graveside services were Dec. 31 at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Dallas.

He was born December 6, 1917, in Lampasas, to Morris and Kathleen Goodman.

Mr. Goodman was a graduate of Lampasas High School and the University of Texas, where he earned a varsity letter.

After military service during World War II, he earned a master's degree in business from the University of Texas.

Mr. Goodman married Elfrieda Kubby in Dallas on Nov. 12, 1967.

He worked for the Internal Revenue Service for more than 30 years. He also taught accounting at various community colleges.

Mr. Goodman was a member of the Jewish War Veterans and a devoted supporter of the Texas Longhorns. He was a longtime member of Temple Emanu-El and the Temple Emanu-El Brotherhood, and previously served on its board of trustees.

Survivors include his wife; sons, Jeff and Elliott; a daughter-in-law, Smyth; and a granddaughter, Hayden.

The family requested donations be made to the SPCA or to the charity of one's choice.
