Josef Buenker Sr.

Lampasas resident Josef F. Buenker Sr. died July 12, 2008, at his residence. He was 74.

Funeral services were July 16 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Lampasas with Father Pedro Castillo officiating. Burial was at Oak Hill Cemetery.

Mr. Buenker was born March 4, 1934, in Germany.

He married Berna Wieborg on Nov. 13, 1961, and worked as an engineer for IBM in Austin for 30 years.

Survivors include his wife of Lampasas; a son, Josef Buenker Jr., and wife, Pamela, of Houston; two daughters, Michelle Lillie, and husband, Brian, of Cedar Park, and Elizabeth Buenker, of Austin; and three grandchildren, Anneliese, Natalie and Jared.
