Sammie Allison

Funeral services for Sammie Lee Allison, 91, of Lampasas were July 17, 2008, at Sneed Funeral Chapel in Lampasas with Minister Reid Schaub officiating. Burial will be at Center Cemetery near Lometa.

Mrs. Allison died July 14 at Lampasas Nursing & Rehab.

She was born Oct. 5, 1916, in Buffalo Gap, to John B. and Cynthia Honea.

She married Martin W. Allison on Dec. 27, 1941, in San Angelo.

Mrs. Allison was a welder at Goodfellow AFB in San Angelo when she was younger. She also was a beautician in Lometa for many years.

Mrs. Allison and her husband owned and operated a piano store in Lampasas.

She was a member of Community Church in Lampasas and had been very active in WMU at First Baptist Church years ago.

Survivors include one daughter and her husband, Becky and Melvin Smith, of Lampasas; two sons and their wives, Larry and Clara Allison, of Lampasas, and Ron and Mary Beth Allison, of Mobile, Ala.; grandchildren, Gary Allison, James Allison, John Allison, Brian Allison, Michelle Allison, Craig Smith, Rachel Baumiller, Jennifer Greiner and Christopher Pitts; and great-grandchildren, Cooper Greiner, Gabriel Allison and Riannon Baumiller.

She was preceded in death by her husband; by one brother; two sisters; and two sons.

The family requested memorials be made to Community Church in Lampasas.
