Mrs. Insall

Funeral services for Maggie Ellen Insall, 80, of Lampasas were July 2, 2008, at Sneed Funeral Chapel with Don Casper and T.L. Kennedy officiating. Burial was at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lampasas.

Mrs. Insall died June 30 at Regal Nursing & Rehab.

She was born May 16, 1928, in Bangs, the daughter of Claude Earl and Annie Mae Sorrells Russell.

She married B.J. Insall on Sept. 4, 1944, and he preceded her in death in 1999.

Mrs. Insall was a foster parent for many years, having helped raise 52 children. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Kempner and was active in the Lampasas Senior Center.

Survivors include a daughter, Nancy Tidwell, of Lampasas; two granddaughters, Tammy Branham, and husband, Paul, and Keli Davis, and husband, Steven, all of Lampasas; three sisters, Bonnie Nobles and Claudia Cobb, both of Copperas Cove, and Joyce Key, of Farmers Branch; four great-grandchildren, Clint Branham, Bradi Branham, Riley Davis and Bailey Rae Davis.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. Insall was preceded in death by two sons, Billy Glen Insall and John Earl Insall; and by a sister, Alice Mae Russell.

The family requested memorials be made to the Lampasas Senior Center.
