Leadership conference on tap

The 13th annual Women's Leadership Conference is July 19 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Frank Mayborn Convention Center in Temple.

Sponsored by local chapters of the American Business Women's Association, the event is open to the public, and all women involved in business are invited.

A variety of speakers and topics are on tap, including a keynote luncheon address by motivational speaker Pauline Shirley of Leaders on Fire. She will present "Life is just a bowl of choices."

Lina Lawson, entrepreneur and president of ABWA, will give the closing address.

Each participant can choose three break-out sessions from a list of 12, to include "One-page business plans," "Stress busters," "Delegation," "Workout while you work," and "Thrive in an economic downturn."

Early registration is $35 per person through Monday, to include breakfast, lunch, break-out sessions, keynote and closing addresses and a tote bag. Registration after Monday is $45.
