Former commissioner, Lometa trustee, city councilman die
He was 73. Graveside services were June 29 at Senterfitt Cemetery near Lometa. Mr. Barefoot was born Nov. 3, 1934, in Lampasas County, to Edd M. and Ruby Margaret Wristen Barefoot. He was a rancher, a 25-year member of the Masonic Lodge and a Shriner. Mr. Barefoot had worked at Weiser Feed Mill and as a rural mail carrier for the U.S. Postal Service. He is survived by a half-brother; five nieces; three nephews; and numerous great-nieces and great nephews, great-great-nieces and greatgreat nephews, and cousins. The family requested memorials be made to the Lometa Volunteer Fire Department, American Cancer Society or to the charity of one's choice. Arrangements by Sneed Funeral Chapel of Lampasas. |
