Blue Blazes track team competes in Killeen The Lampasas Blue Blazes summer track team competed in a practice meet at Killeen on Saturday, finding the majority of its success in the field events. Head coach Trent Lancaster said results were not recorded in an efficient manner, and he apologized for any local athletes who are not recognized. Ashley Lowery led the local contingent with two gold medals. She won the 100-meter hurdles and the 200-meter dash for the 18 and under girls' division. In the 18 and under boys' division, Frank James finished second in the discus. In the 16 and under boys' division, Tanner Swinford won the long jump and finished third in the triple jump. In the 14 and under boys' division, John Cole Vann and Cody Crofoot tied for fourth in the long jump. In the 12 and under girls' division, Presley Peters finished second in the 80-meter hurdles and third in the long jump. In the 12 and under boys' division, Blake Graham finished fourth in the long jump. In the 10 and under girls' division, Hope Moseley finished second in the shot put. |
