Spc. Duncan

Funeral services with full military honors for Spc. Thomas Franklin Duncan III, 21, of Rowlett, formerly of Lampasas, were June 17, 2008, at 10 a.m. at Briggs-Gamel-Wilcox Funeral Chapel in Lampasas.

Cremation followed the service.

Mr. Duncan died June 9, 2008, in Sinjar, Iraq, from wounds suffered during combat operations.

He was born April 13, 1987, at Fort Hood, to Thomas F. Duncan II and Amanda S. Michel.

Mr. Duncan was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment out of Fort Lewis, Wash.

Survivors include his wife, Megan Duncan, of Louisa, Ky.; his parents, Charles and Amanda Michel, of Bedias; his father of Oakwood, Ga.; two sisters, Crystal Hernandez, of Chicago, Ill., and Elizabeth Duncan, of Gatesville; and grandparents, CW3 Edward and Dorothy Berg, of Lampasas, Joe and Mary Michel, of Temple, and Tommy and Carolyn Duncan, of Georgia.
