DWI charge nets jail time

A three-year sentence to the Texas Department of Criminal Justice Institutional Division was handed down recently in the 27th District courtroom of Judge Joe Carroll.

Michael Henderson, 45, received the punishment for driving while intoxicated. He also must pay a $500 fine.

Two-year state jail sentences were handed down on each of two counts of burglary of a building against 22-year-old John Michael Aguilar. He also must pay court costs and a $500 fine.

Bond was increased to $5,000, and an arrest warrant was issued for David Zepeda, 45, when he failed to show up for court on a charge of driving while intoxicated and felony repetition.

In a case of criminal mischief with a deadly weapon against Curtis Crumley III, the judge assessed 10 years' deferred adjudication probation to the 21-year-old and $3,200 in restitution.

Crumley also must pay a $500 fine and court costs, and complete an intermediate sanction facility program.

Seven years of shock probation was granted to Tammy Lorine McCullough, 40, for possession of a controlled substance.

For endangering a child, Alicia Rae Lewis, 30, received five years' deferred adjudication probation and a $1,000 fine, along with other conditions of probation.

Five years of adjudication probation and a $1,000 fine was given to Mark Anthony Lujan, 31, for aggravated assault/threat with a deadly weapon.

Sontaya Pelletier Vrankovich, 19, of Copperas Cove was given five years' deferred adjudication probation for theft over $1,500 and under $20,000.

Bond was denied Scott Anthony Gunn, 37, who is jailed on a charge of sexual assault of a child.

A pretrial hearing is set today for Matthew Bradley Harris, 24. He is charged with theft over $20,000 and under $100,000.

Arraignments are June 20 for Edward Allen Cain Jr., 42, of Lampasas for aggravated assault causing serious bodily injury and Mari Angelique Salazar, 32, of Lampasas for possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver.

June 27 pretrial hearings are on the docket for Kempner resident Jason Dwayne Lamb, 35, for hindering a secured creditor; Ashley Monique Montemayor, 32, for possession of a chemical with intent to manufacture; and for Don Dwayne Griffin, 47, for possession of a controlled substance.

Richard Guy Jensen, 44, of Copperas Cove is expected to enter a plea Aug. 15 for aggravated assault/ threat with a deadly weapon.
