Jacky Carsten

San Saba resident Jacky Carsten died June 8, 2008, in Lampasas. He was 44.

Funeral services were June 11 at Howell-Doran Funeral Home in San Saba with the Rev. Tom Brand officiating, assisted by the Rev. George Wheeler. Burial was at Hillcrest Cemetery.

Mr. Carsten was born Jan. 4, 1964, in San Saba, the son of Albert Lee and Dorothy Gatliff Carsten.

Survivors include his mother of San Saba; his father and wife, Loretta, of Shawnee, Okla.; grandmother, Gertie Gatliff, of San Saba; three brothers, Jerry West and wife, Diann, of Lometa, Donald Carsten and wife, Teri, of Dublin, and Jimmy Berio and wife, Brenda, of Cherokee; and two sisters, Tawana Riggs and husband, Dale, of San Saba, and Mr. Carsten's twin, Judy Wilke, and husband, Roland, of Fredericksburg.

Others include six aunts, Mary Riser and husband, Wayne, and Bernice Hoskins and husband, Roland, all of San Saba, Vinna Bailey and husband, Charles, and Brenda Schneider, all of Llano, Linda Russell of Leander, Emma Havins and husband, Troy, of Houston; and several nieces and nephews.

The family requested memorials be made to the Boys and Girls Club of Lampasas.
