Mrs. Shave

A memorial service for Margaret Shave, 85, formerly of Lometa, was May 23, 2008, at Blessing Funeral Home in Mansfield. Graveside services were May 24 at Hurst Ranch Cemetery in Hamilton County.

Mrs. Shave died May 21 at an Arlington hospital.

She was born in Lometa, and graduated from Lometa High School. She attended Texas Tech University.

Mrs. Shave worked at the Fort Hood dental clinic during World War II.

She married Leroy Shave on Oct. 11, 1947, in Midland.

Mrs. Shave was a homemaker and enjoyed genealogy, bird watching and cross stitching.

Survivors include her husband; a son, James, and wife, Rita, of Copperas Cove; a daughter, Mary Gillis, and husband, Randy, of Mansfield; grandchildren, Jennifer and husband, Ryan, of Columbus, Ohio, Ryan and wife, Carol, of Austin, Bobbie and husband, Paul, of Tomah, Wisc., and Casey, of Amarillo; and seven greatgrandchildren.
