Congratulations to the Lometa High School Class of 2008!

TAYLOR BRIANNE BRADLEY
Taylor Brianne Bradley is the daughter of Wendell and Julie Bradley. Salutatorian of her class, Taylor has been an active high school student. All four years of high school she competed in basketball, track and FFA, where she exhibited hogs. She also played softball and volleyball. A cheerleader and Homecoming Sweetheart her senior year, Taylor also was a member of the National Honor Society and Superintendent's Council. She was a member of the One-Act Play and UIL academic team for two years, qualifying for regionals in both and state OAP as a junior. Taylor's recent athletic accomplishments include First Team All-District in basketball, and regional qualifier in the 200-meter dash, 4x100 relay and 4x200 relay. She was a member of the districtchampion cross country team. As a junior she was a regional qualifier on the 4x200 and 4x400 relay teams. A member of the Student Council, Taylor was junior class treasurer and sophomore class secretary. After graduation she plans to attend the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor and study pre-pharmacy. She would like to complete her pharmacy degree at Texas Tech University.

TRENT CHASE CAVNESS
Trent Chase Cavness is the son of Roy Cavness and Margaret Cavness. He is a four-year member of the football and track teams where he earned honors as an All- District wide receiver, and area qualifier in 100-meter dash and 400 and 800-meter relays. After high school, Trent plans to attend Angelo State University.

Toby Davis is the son of John and Anna Davis. Throughout his high school career he was active in football, basketball, track and field, One-Act Play and FFA. Toby's accomplishments include being named track and field MVP for three years. He was an area and regional qualifier in shotput and discus. In football he was named to the First Team All-District Offense, and in basketball he was named to the All-District Second Team. Toby was a regional qualifier in One-Act Play all four years of high school, qualifying for state twice and receiving All-Star Cast awards at the zone, district and area levels. He was a regional Honorable Mention All-Star Cast winner. Toby served as FFA reporter and president, and was a senior showmanship winner with his meat goat. He also served on the Student Council one year. After graduation, he plans to attend Texas State Technical College in Waco to become a biomedical equipment technician.

TOBY DAVIS
Justin Mathew Dixon is the son of Danny Dixon. He was a twoyear member of the basketball and golf teams, and played football his senior year. He also participated one year in One-Act Play. Justin received awards as the Most Improved Player and MVP in golf, and was an All-District kicker selection. Justin also was a regional qualifier in golf and state qualifier in One-Act Play. He served as vice president of his class. His plans include attending Angelo State University, where he will pursue a degree in wildlife management.

Jasmine Ecford has accrued a number of achievements during her high school career. While attending another school, she was a member of the volleyball and track teams, AROTC and took part in the Christmas pageant. She volunteered at an animal shelter and on the Cancer Awareness Step Team, where she received the president award for accumulating 138 hours of service. She received the Lions Club A Award and was on the A-B Honor Roll. After graduation she would like to attend college and major in pre-med biology with the hope of becoming an obstetrician/gynecologist. She also plans to join the Air Force.

JUSTIN MATHEW DIXON
Esmeralda Hernandez is the daughter of Geneva Willbanks and Daniel Hernandez. During high school, Esmeralda was active in basketball, FFA, annual staff and cross country. She attended the Lions Club Honor Banquet three years and was on the A-B Honor Roll. She received awards for perfect attendance for three years and was voted class favorite her senior year. After high school, Esmeralda plans to attend Central Texas College to study cosmetology.

A.J. Hodges has received a number of awards during his time in high school. While attending another school, he was part of the Winono agriculture program and received awards for being on the A and A-B Honor Roll. He also garnered the Helping Hand Award, won the Fire Prevention Poster Contest and attended the Lometa Lions Club Honor Banquet. After high school, A.J. hopes to become the owner of a western toy and clothing store.

JASMINE ECFORD
Austin Kemp is the son of Frosty and Allyson Kemp. He has been active in football, golf and FFA, where he was an officer. He was an All-District golf selection and received Honorable Mention All-District recognition in football. After graduation, Austin will enter the United States Marine Corps.

James Keith Logsdon is the son of Bill and Kathy Logsdon. Valedictorian of his graduating class, James has served on the Superintendent's Council, was class president all four years of high school, and was a member of the FFA and National Honor Society. He is a four-year veteran of the football and track teams, and competed in golf, powerlifting and cross country. He was a three-time regional qualifier in debate and One-Act Play. During his high school football career, James earned numerous awards including All-District Defensive MVP, First- Team All-District Runningback, All-Region Linebacker, Honorable Mention All-State Defense, Academic All-State and Six-Man All- Star selection. He is a two-time regional qualifier in track, a twotime state qualifier in One-Act Play and qualified for UIL academic regionals all four years. He qualified for area as a member of the FFA Ag Issues Forum team. A recipient of the Lometa Most-Scholarly Award, James plans to attend Angelo State University, where he will pursue a degree in psychology.

ESMERALDA HERNANDEZ
Kayla Denise Mann is the daughter of Bradley and Janet Watson. During high school, Kayla was active in FFA and annual staff. She received the Lions Club Award all four years and was on the A-B Honor Roll for two years. After graduation, Kayla plans to attend Central Texas College before transferring to Tarleton State University, where she will pursue her degree in accounting.

Heather Mays is the daughter of Rhonda Mays and Julian Maldonado. She was active on the high school basketball and track teams. Heather attended the Lions Club Honor Banquet and was on the A-B Honor Roll. She also received the award for perfect attendance. After graduation she plans to join the Navy with a ship date of August or December.
