Class of 2008 commencement set tonight

Commencement exercises for the Lampasas High School Class of 2008 will be tonight at 8 p.m. at Badger Stadium.

The processional, featuring the LHS Badger Band under the direction of Richard Hooper, will start the festivities, followed by playing of the national anthem.

Michelle Benton will give the student welcome.

Dr. Brant Myers, superintendent, will introduce members of the school board.

LHS senior Alexi Bulloch will give the salutatory address, followed by Heath Cofield's valedictory address.

Clayton Tyner will give a vocal performance.

Principal Brandon Stiewig will confirm the class, and presentation of diplomas will follow.

Senior Taryn Brown will close the ceremony, and the alma mater and recessional will be played by the Badger Band as graduates file out of the stadium.

Students, later that night, will attend Project Graduation, an allnight, drug-free, alcohol-free party for seniors.
