Mr. Rush

Funeral services are pending with Sneed Funeral Chapel of Lampasas for William "Robert" Rush, 48.

Mr. Rush died May 2, 2008, at his home in Midway City, Calif.

He was born April 2, 1960, in Alexandria, La., to William Thomas (W.T.) and Alice Elizabeth Langford Rush.

Mr. Rush graduated from Irving High School in 1978. He then attended Texas State Technical College in Waco where he received an associate's degree.

He was an avid sportsman who enjoyed surfing, kayaking, skiing and cooking.

For the past six years, Mr. Rush resided in Orange County, Calif.

From 2002-06, he was employed by Laid Law Transit Co.

In 2006, Mr. Rush returned to school and earned a degree and certificate in drug and alcohol counseling. He had been a counselor at a California rehabilitation center.
