Mr. Gray Charles Robert Gray, 79, of Lampasas died May 3, 2008. Funeral services were May 8 at Heritage Funeral Home in Harker Heights with the Rev. Maggie McKinley officiating. Burial was at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen. Mr. Gray was born July 9, 1928, in Abilene, the son of Washington and Betty Gray. He had lived in Lampasas for more than 13 years where he was a member of Full Gospel Church and AMVETS Post 80. He also held membership in the American Legion in Whitney. Mr. Gray retired from Central Texas College Truck Driving School in Killeen. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy during World War II. Survivors include his wife, Patricia Shannon Gray, of Lampasas; a son, Jimmy Gray, of Idaho; five daughters, Linda Cheatham, of Killeen, Barbara Reyes and Deborah Gray, both of San Diego, Calif., Barbara Davis, of Waco, and Patricia Jean Gray, of Austin; a brother, William Gray, of Toledo Bend; 13 grandchildren; five greatgrandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of friends. He was preceded in death by infant twins in 1985; by three brothers, Wally, Stoker and Hugh Gray; and by three sisters, Patrida, Gertrude and Bessie. |
