Summer camp set for Scouts

Girl Scouts in Central Texas will soon be packing their bags and heading to Camp Lake Wood.

Every summer about 200 girls from this area attend resident camp where they live and play in the outdoor for five or more days at a time. They can participate in activities like swimming, hiking, cooking out, playing games, making crafts and much more.

Summer camp is open to all girls, even if they are not registered Girl Scouts.

One-week sessions run from June 8 to July 1.
