FFA'ers garner recognition

Lampasas FFA members recently participated in the San Saba District FFA Awards Banquet, officer elections and speaking events held in Goldthwaite.
Sara Jackson was elected District FFA president for 2008-09.
Kelsi Ray was elected San Saba District area officer candidate for 2008-09 and will run for Area FFA president on May 12-13 at the Area 7 FFA Convention at Texas State University at San Marcos.
Jeyde Kelly placed second and qualified for the area speaking event at TSU in soil and water conservation public speaking.
Kirby Kennedy was first in junior prepared public speaking. She qualified for the area contest at San Marcos.

Reese Vann took third in senior prepared public speaking.
Seventeen members and guests attended the event at the Mills County Convention Center.
