Mrs. Cameron

Ellois Cameron, 95, of Oakalla died May 3, 2008, at Hill Country Nursing & Rehab in Copperas Cove.

Funeral services were May 5 at Sheppard Chapel of Memories in Copperas Cove with the Rev. Clay Cole officiating assisted by the Rev. T. Irving King.

Burial was at Tobey Cemetery.

Mrs. Cameron was born July 9, 1912, in Oakalla, the daughter of Herd and Matilda Frances Priest Reavis.

She married Hershel Cameron on May 31, 1939, in Florence.

Mrs. Cameron was a homemaker and a bookkeeper. She was a member of Oakalla Baptist Church and FCE Club. She also was on the board of directors for the Oakalla Community Center.

Survivors include two sisters-inlaw, Annie Bell Reavis, of Oakalla, and Nadine Reavis, of Lampasas; and several nieces and nephews and their families.

She was preceded in death by her husband on Feb. 4, 1969; by brothers, Alvie Reavis, Cecil Reavis, Troy Reavis and Buford Reavis; and by sisters, Ruby Wells and Sylvia Smith.

Pallbearers were Marvin Reavis, Larry Reavis, Paul Reavis, Rickey Reavis, Jimmie Pierce and Eugene Reavis.

The family requested memorials be made to Tobey Cemetery Association in care of Bobby R. Reavis, 415 Orchid Dr., Killeen, TX 76542.
