PD: City will not pick up limbs Lampasas Police Department personnel are reminding residents who hire tree-trimming work to be done that the city does not pick up large tree limbs except during designated brush-chipping days in March and November. Regular city garbage pickup will take small brush that is bundled smaller than 4 feet in length and weighs less than 35 pounds. The police department has received complaints from the areas of Sue Ann and Snell Drive that a man who trims trees is leaving branches in the yard and tells homeowners the city will pick them up. That is not the case, said Police Chief Tim Angermann. "City personnel are not picking up tree branches, and they will not go into someone's backyard." Officials are attempting to locate the subject who is giving false information, said the chief. |
