Adopt a Highway
Texas Department of Transportation crew of Luis Herrera, left, and Bill Henderson, third from left, recently installed an Adopt a Highway sign on FM 581 East in Adamsville. Bill Rials filed the application for the sign and will be assisted by members of the Adamsville Heritage Association, including publicity chair Betty Rials. Tobe Moreland also assists with sign placement. The heritage association will continue its 100-year community celebration June 28 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at an outdoor picnic of barbecue sandwiches, hot dogs, water bottled with the Heritage label, soft drinks, music, classic cars, antique farm equipment, children's games, a vintage clothing style show and indoor museum replicas.
