CTC lists non-credit courses
The Central Texas College Continuing Education Department is offering the following courses.
Word 2003: Explore and practice the basics of this popular word-processing class for beginners. Learn to create and edit documents such as letters, envelopes and banners. Class will meet Mondays and Wednesdays, May 5-21, 1-3 p.m. Cost is $41.
Professional Truck Driving: This three-week course will help students earn their class A license to become a truck driver. The course includes 140 hours of practical and behind-the-wheel training and 10 hours of classroom instruction. Class meets Monday through Friday, May 5-23, 6:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Cost is $4,200 (cash) or $5,405 (financed). Class also will meet May 26-June 13.
Conversational Sign Language: Students will improve conversation skills using American Sign Language in realistic and meaningful situations such as the workplace, school and in emergencies. Class will meet Tuesdays and Thursdays, May 6-29, 7:30-9:30 p.m. Cost is $41.
Jazzercise: This class offers a blend of jazz dance and exercise science set to your favorite music. This one-hour class includes a warm-up, aerobic exercise and lightweight workout designed for improving muscle strength and tone followed by a stretch finale. Class meets Mondays and Wednesdays, May 5-28, 5:40-6:40 p.m. or Tuesdays and Thursdays, May 6-29 at the same times. Cost is $26 for either class.
