LHS baseball falls in finale

Coleton Lucas
After knocking off playoffbound Cedar Park Vista Ridge, 7-4, last Tuesday, the Lampasas High School baseball team couldn't maintain the momentum, falling, 9- 3, at Dripping Springs in its finale on Friday.

The Badgers close their season 6-22 overall and 3-11 in District 25-4A play.

Dripping Springs claimed the third playoff spot, upping its record to 8-6 in the loop.

Senior catcher Coleton Lucas shone, with two hits, a stolen base and two innings of one-run relief work.

Cody Bailey started the game, allowing four runs on six hits in four innings. He struck out two.

Kyle Landry had a triple and scored twice, Stetson Magilke scored a run, and Bailey drove in another. Ryan Abbott and Chance Vann each had stolen bases.
