Communication needed in county
      On April 18, my husband and I attended a meeting of citizens to debate the need for a help group for our county, the "Lampasas County Concerned Citizens" or LCCC. It was an open meeting, and many attended, including some of the county's elected commissioners and county judge.

      It's spring, a time for re-birth and re-growth. The American Red Cross would like to urge you to reach out and help someone else see another spring day, another birthday, another anniversary. For someone in need, that can be accomplished just by donating blood.

Recognition long overdue
      Last week, a friend and I attended the groundbreaking ceremony for construction of the new Taylor Creek Elementary School. I had high expectations that the people who were so instrumental in securing the new school for Kempner and the east end of Lampasas County would be duly recognized.
