1909 document donated to post office in Mound

Sue Bohannon displays a document signed May 5, 1909, which she came across recently while going through a cabinet.
Sue Bohannon of Lampasas recently discovered a framed certificate from 1909, which noted the commissioning of Ernest C. Farmer to be postmaster in Mound, Texas.

Mound is a small community in Coryell County between Gatesville and McGregor.

Mrs. Bohannon has donated the certificate back to the Mound post office.

The document was found not long ago when the Lampasas resident was going through one of her cabinets where photos and frames were kept. In the early 1970s, Mrs. Bohannon bought a box of old frames at an estate sale, not knowing that one of them had the certificate about the Mound postmaster.
