Briggs Community Center sets fund-raisers

Briggs Community Center has several upcoming events.

Its annual yard sale is Saturday at 8 a.m. Booth spaces are $10. Phone (512) 489-2384 for information.

The community center will sell sausage wraps and hot dogs off the grill.

* * * The Briggs Volunteer Fire Department will have a Center sets fund-raisers

barbecue, auction and live music May 3 beginning at 6 p.m.

Country western singer Pauline Reese will headline the event, and Jarrett Schaub from Lampasas also is set to perform.

Tickets are $8 for food only, and $20 for food and entertainment.

There will be brisket and sausage with all the trimmings.
