Varsity Roundup Hendrickson's win evened the season series between the teams at 1-1. The Lady Badgers beat Hendrickson, 1-0, on March 25. * Hendrickson 7, LHS 3: The LHS baseball team lost on the road Friday night, falling to Pflugerville Hendrickson. With the loss, the Badgers fell to 5-20 overall and 2- 10 in District 25-4A. The Badgers have two games remaining. They play host to playoffbound Cedar Park Vista Ridge at 7 p.m. today in the final home game for this season's seniors. Vista Ridge beat LHS 2-0 on March 28. They close their season Friday night at Dripping Springs. * Baylor Meet: Three LHS boys and two LHS girls competed in the Baylor Regional Qualifiers Track Meet Friday in Waco. The meet, which was held in near perfect conditions, allowed athletes who have already qualified for regional track meets to compete against other qualifiers during the off week between the district and regional meets. LHS coaches Jimmy Randolph and Trent Lancaster said the times, distances and heights registered by LHS athletes at Baylor would probably be lower than their capabilities because the athletes would be deadlegged from a grueling workout schedule last week. High jumper Jennifer Howard was the only LHS athlete to place in the top eight. She jumped 5 feet, two inches to place second. Alma Sandoval threw the discus 109 feet. Tyler Phelan triple jumped 38-111/ 2. High jumper Clay Tyner cleared 6 feet, and Kooper Liverman ran a 41.64 in the 300 hurdles. |
