Central Texas Genealogical Society will meet April 28 at the Waco-McLennan County Library, 1717 Austin Ave. in Waco. Topic is "DNA with Max." The public is invited.

CTGS supports residents of Bell, Bosque, Coryell, Falls, Hill, Limestone, McLennan and Milam counties in their ancestral and historical searches. Meetings are the fourth Monday of each month except December.

A 50th anniversary of the group will be celebrated May 19 at 6:30 p.m. at the central library.

Dr. Lori Baker, director of Forensic Studies at Baylor University, will be the featured speaker, and Waco Mayor Virginia DuPuy will make a presentation.

Door prizes will be offered and refreshments served.
