Artist's work to support Houston Dance Company

Pablo Solomon lives and works with his wife, Beverly, on their 1856 historic ranch west of Lampasas.
Growing up in the Houston Heights, A.A. "Pablo" Solomon hoped that some day he would be a famous artist.

After many adventures and many decades, his dreams have come true. Now his work is collected throughout the United States and Europe, and he has been recognized in books, newspapers and magazines, as well as on radio, television and film.

Over the years, Solomon has traveled the world and has worked with many outstanding artists. Although known primarily as a sculptor, he also is recognized for his pen and ink work and other graphic arts. His clients include notables from business, sports, entertainment and literature.

Solomon lives and works with his wife, Beverly, on their 1856 historic ranch west of Lampasas. Before becoming her husband's muse and business manager, Mrs. Solomon worked as a model and then in sales and marketing for Diane von Furstenberg, Revlon and Ralph Lauren.

Solomon will be doing a showing in Houston of drawings and sculptures that celebrate the beauty and power of dance. The event, which will benefit the Houston Metropolitan Dance Company at the Wortham Center/Cullen Theatre, will be Friday at 8 p.m.

A percentage of proceeds from sales will go to support the dance company.
