TxDOT to hold public hearing

The Texas Department of Transportation will hold a Transportation Improvement Program meeting Thursday at 10 a.m. at the Hostess House.

TxDOT coordinates TIP meetings to inform the public of upcoming transportation projects in the three-county area of Lampasas, Mills and San Saba. TxDOT representatives also will discuss the need for public transportation for the elderly and for people with disabilities.

Residents are encouraged to attend and offer opinions.

"Public input is critical to our planning process," Brownwood District Engineer Lynn Passmore said. "We want to know if we are addressing the transportation needs of the area. The best way to do that is to get information from people who live there."
