Festival's Bar-B-Que event on tap

Open for visitors
      The chamber of commerce opened its doors for business at its location on U.S. Highway 281 South in 2006 after moving out of the historic Santa Fe Depot on East Second Street. A number of fund-raising events have been held to help pay the building's purchase price.

Riata Roundup Rodeo scheduled June 20-21
      An event that continues to gain popularity is the annual chamber-sponsored Lampasas Riata Round-up. This year's rodeo will be June 20-21. Held at Little Bear Ranch's rodeo arena on U.S. Highway 281, the riata draws cowboys and cowgirls from all over the state.

      County Judge Wayne Boultinghouse has lifted the outdoor burn ban until April 25 at 6 p.m. The lifting of the ban allows residents to burn items in unincorporated areas of the county.
