Minister Alan Boyd officiated the double-ring, afternoon ceremony. The bride is the daughter of Tony and Sandra Doyle, and the granddaughter of Edmond and Joyce Straley and Ray and Barbara Straley, all of Adamsville, and Bill and Mary Doyle of Pearl. She is the great-granddaughter of Annie Straley of Adamsville. The groom's parents are Earl and Beverly Barnes. He is the grandson of William and Mary Boyd of Grandview, and Winston Barnes of Evant. He is the great-grandson of Irene Farris. Wedding music included Pachelbel's "Canon in D"; "The Wedding March," at the bride's entrance; "I Could Not Ask for More," during the lighting of the Unity candle; and "Lost in This Moment," during the recessional. An archway, decorated with greenery and white lights, featured candelabra on each side. The bride was given in marriage by her father. She chose a satin, split-back, Aline gown with beaded cuff, hem and inset, all of clover green. Her headpiece with tiara had clover green around the edge, and the tiara had green beads in the center. To complement her gown, the bride carried a bouquet of flowergazer lilies and oriental roses. Maid of honor was Leah Sheldon of Stephenville. Bridesmaids were April Singleton of Frisco; Kristin Ingram of Killeen; and Savannah Kilpatrick of McGregor, the bride's cousin. Junior bridesmaid was Sabrina Doyle, cousin of the bride, of Dickinson. Attendants wore dresses of different designs in clover green. Laykin Harcom of Fairfield served as flower girl. She wore a white satin, A-line dress with a split in front. Best man was Drew Barnes, the groom's brother, of Waco. Groomsmen were Randy Weeks of Evant; Scott Cummings of Florence; and Brent Clary of Stephenville. Junior groomsmen were the groom's cousins, Noah Newby of Cleburne, and Branson Kilpatrick of Rosebud Lott. Ushers were Eric Garst, brother of the bride, of Evant, and Josh Newby, the groom's cousin, of Cleburne. Ring bearer was Dunn Straley of Huntsville, the bride's cousin. After the ceremony, the bride and groom hosted a reception at the Holiday House in Lampasas. Houseparty members included Donna Straley, the bride's aunt, who registered guests, and servers Barbara Straley, Donna Straley, Mary Boyd, Denica Newby and Georgia Jones. The bride's four-tier white cake had lavender ribbon around each layer. The groom's chocolate cake was shaped like a cowboy boot with chocolate on top and chocolatecovered strawberries. After a wedding trip to San Antonio and Cozumel, the couple is at home in Stephenville. The bride, a 2004 Evant High School graduate, attends Tarleton State University. She is employed by Tarleton Business Services Office. The groom, a 2003 graduate of Evant High School, is employed by H-E-B in Stephenville. The rehearsal dinner was given by Barbara and Ray Straley at their residence prior to the wedding. A barbecue dinner with brisket, ribs, sausage and all the trimmings was cooked by Waylon and Connie Landau of Evant. Trees were decorated with white lights. Tables had lavender and green tablecloths with centerpieces of green and lavender. Candles were accented with lavender flowers and greenery. ![]() |
