Mrs. Davis

Ruby Davis, 98, of Lampasas, formerly of Fletcher, Okla., died April 14, 2008, at Spring Oaks Nursing and Rehab in Lampasas. Mrs. Davis' body will be cremated. Services are planned at a later time.

She was born Feb. 17, 1910, in Fletcher, the daughter of John William and Ada Lou Basham Huddleston.

Mrs. Davis was married to Victor Davis, and he preceded her in death.

She was a member of the Methodist church and had lived in Lampasas since 1998.

Survivors include five nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Davis also was preceded in death by her sisters, Sadie Sessums, Mable Sessums, Dixie Shumate, Waldine Blackwell and a twin sister, Pearl Williams. In addition, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Bud Huddleston and Waldo Huddleston.
