      James Clifton Beene, 96, died April 7, 2008, at Voss Wood Nursing Home in Houston. Funeral services were April 11 at Sneed Funeral Chapel in Lampasas with Pastor Paul Evans of First United Methodist Church of Boerne officiating. Burial was at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lampasas.
