LHS golfers end season at district tourney
Lindeman vaults from 24th to 10th
      Two Lampasas High School boys finished in the top 10 at the District 25-4A Golf Tournament, while one LHS girls' golfer earned all-district honorable mention. The Badgers and Lady Badgers played the final round of the tournament Tuesday at Legends Golf Course in Kingsland.

U19 Tri-City Express in first place
      The U19 Tri-City Express girls improved to 4-0 in CAYSA South Texas Cup League play with two wins last weekend, grabbing sole possession of first place. The Express handed the U19 Tri- County Flyers a 7-1 whipping at Gavin Garrett Soccer Park on Saturday.

      RUNNING/BIKING The Youth Ministry of First United Methodist Church is hosting a 5K Faith Race on May 3 at Kline Whitis Elementary School. The fund-raiser will benefit the youth program.       The Lampasas High School softball team hammered Burnet, 10-0, to pick up a road win. Freshman lefty Taylor Holloman went the distance, allowing three hits and striking out one. Including her last appearance, Holloman has pitched 10.1 consecutive scoreless innings.

      James Burks has been caring about Lampasas Middle School athletes for more than 15 years. In all that time (that's almost half my lifetime, Jim), he has never seen a group of LMS kids perform the way all four track teams performed last week at the district meet.
