The following placed in the top six to score points but did not advance to area:
1600-meter run: 6. Elisha Whisenhunt. "I was very proud of how the girls performed," said Coach Brandi Eckermann. "Every girl, if she advanced or not, contributed to our second place finish, because placing in the top six still scores points." Eckermann said she was not sure how the girls would place at the meet because they have not had a lot of time to practice due to other activities. "To show up and win all the relays and advance two individuals with a win from Taylor Bradley in the 200 and a third-place finish in the 100 hurdles by Shoshannah Vandergriff was a big success." The coach said Maria Jasso also proved to be successful, placing third and fourth in the long and triple jumps. "To finish third and advance to area in the discus as a freshman is an achievement for Kylie," the coach said. "This really showed the heart and desire the girls have to win."
