Lometa track teams take second at District 29A meet

      The Lometa Hornets had a good showing at the District 29A relays held recently at Hico. The team finished second with 125 points, just three points behind top-finishing Walnut Springs. Results follow. 100-meter dash: 4. Trent Cavness, 12.21. 5. Manuel Hernandez, 12.39.

      Lometa High School and junior high girls are eligible to enter the Lampasas Riata Roundup's sixth annual Riata Roundup Queen Contest. Contestants should be girls in grades seven through 12. Applications and official rules are available at the school.
