Collins benefit is scheduled

A benefit for Chad Collins, son of Brenda and Greg Collins, will be April 26 at First United Methodist Church on U.S. Highway 190.

Sales will help defray the cost of Collins' medical expenses for an aggressive form of cancer.

Schedule for the fund-raiser is as follows: garage sale, 7 a.m. to noon, with breakfast burritos to be sold; silent auction, 7 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.; barbecue at noon, with brisket, beans, tea and dessert to be served at $8 per plate; and live auction, beginning at 1 p.m.

In addition, an account has been set up at The National Banks of Central Texas for those who would like to make a donation.
