      A benefit for Chad Collins, son of Brenda and Greg Collins, will be April 26 at First United Methodist Church on U.S. Highway 190. Sales will help defray the cost of Collins' medical expenses for an aggressive form of cancer.

Boys & Girls Club annual campaign under way
      The Boys & Girls Club of Lampasas recently kicked off its annual "It Just Takes One" campaign with a rally held at the club. The campaign will raise funds for the club's after-school programs and services for youth, ages 6-18, living in Lampasas County.

Citywide garage sale slated
      Courtyard Square Association's first Citywide Garage Sale of the year will be April 26 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Courtyard Square. More than 70 booths are available. Cost is $30 per space and $35 for food booths. Funds raised will be used for improvements in the historic downtown area.
