Riata recruiting contestants

The Lampasas Riata Roundup is June 20-21 at Little Bear Ranch Rodeo Arena.

The sixth annual Riata Roundup Queen Contest is open to girls in grades seven through 12. Applications and official rules are available at Lampasas High School, Lampasas Middle School, Lometa School, Lampasas County Extension office and Lampasas County Chamber of Commerce at 205 South U.S. Highway 281.

The winner will be announced June 20 prior to rodeo performances. She will be awarded a $500 college scholarship.

Applications are due to the chamber office by May 23.
