Tax-Aide extends deadline
      The Lampasas Senior Center, which offers Tax-Aide through April 15, has two additional days to serve its clients, as requested by the IRS. Tax-Aide will remain open April 22 and April 29 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. to assist clients with the economic stimulus package.

Resident to perform in theater event

      Salvation Army Youth Camp is accepting applications for the 2008 summer term. Camp is set June 30 to July 5 for kids ages 10 to 12. There is no cost for youths to attend. Forms are available at Hanna Springs Intermediate School.

Students to raise funds to feed hungry children
      More than 850 million people around the world don't have enough to eat. Annually, more than 10 million children under the age of 5 die from disease and malnutrition as a result of hunger, and teens from Lampasas are ready to be a part of the solution.

      Former students of Texas A&M will assemble in Lampasas April 21 for the annual Texas Aggie Muster to honor all Texas Aggies who have passed away within the last year, according to Muster chair Mike Mullican. Various Muster activities include a meal, speaker and candlelight roll call.
