Ministry Fair to be held

Lampasas First United Methodist Church is having its first Ministry Fair on Sunday to emphasize all the ways members can "plug in" to service for the church.

The event is from 9 a.m. to noon at the Wesley Fellowship Hall, with booths set up to showcase the different areas of service and participation available. Brunch will be served.

Regular church services will be held, though early services will be in the sanctuary rather than in the fellowship hall.

Areas of services to be spotlighted include:

• United Methodist Women • United Methodist Men • Lampasas Mission

• FUMC Bus Ministry

• Missions table (church-wide mission trip, soldier boxes, Helping Hands, etc.)

• Senior Citizens Center, Meals on Wheels

• Christian education table (Disciple and Beth Moore Bible Studies, Sunday School, Children's Church, CAPS, VBS and Alpha)

• Church support table (office volunteer receptionists, church committees, administrative support and computer technicians)

• Youth

• Fellowship groups (Sassy Moms, Over 60s and Empty Nesters)

• Music ministries (choirs, bells, youth choirs, praise music team and community choir)

• Advocates Prayer Group
