FFA'ers take top spots at contest

The Lampasas FFA competed in four Career Development Events recently at Tarleton State University at Stephenville.

The Wildlife Science Team placed first in district and qualified for area competition.

Team members include Devan Post, Layne Kendrick, Dalton Summers, Evan Munn and Kooper Liverman. Post placed in the top 30 out of 270 individual participants.

The Horse Judging Team placed second in district competition, qualifying them for the Area 7 contest.

Team members are Shannon O'Keefe and Shannon Lucas, along with Brandyl Brooks, who ranked 28th individually out of 680 participants.

The Poultry Judging Team took third in district. Team members are Shelby Faught and Ty Beasley, and Brook Buttler, who was high-point individual for the team.

The Livestock Judging Team of Reese Vann, Kelsi Ray, Bonnie Wallace and Sara Jackson placed fourth in district. Jackson was high-point individual for the team.
