LHS track teams return after break The Lampasas High School boys' and girls' track teams should be on fresh legs today and Saturday after taking last week off for Spring Break. The LHS varsity boys, which earned a silver medal at the Battlin' Badger Relays two weeks ago, will compete at the prestigious San Angelo Relays today and Saturday. "I want to see the kids compete hard," LHS head boys' coach Jimmy Randolph said. "I want to see an improvement in our relay times, and I want to see (high jumper) Clay (Tyner) get over that mental block of 6-4 (six feet, four inches)." The varsity girls, who also won silver at the Battlin' Badger Relays, and junior varsity boys and girls will compete at the Burnet Meet Saturday, starting at 9 a.m. |
