Annual music fest to be held

The 21st annual Old Settler's Annual Music Festival is April 17-20 at Salt Lick BBQ Pavilion and Camp Ben McCulloch on Onion Creek in Austin.

The 2008 line-up includes Delbert McClinton, Marty Stuart & His Fabulous Superlatives, New Monsoon, The Waybacks, David Grisman Bluegrass Experience, Slim Richey's Jazz Grass, Sarah Jarosz, Bluegrass Believers and Belleville Outfit.

Others are Jitterbug Vipers, Emily Elbert (winner of the 2007 youth competition), The Gospel Project, Peter Rowan & Friends, The Jones Family Singers, Bettye Lavette (Grammy nominee), Ralph Stanley & The Clinch Mountain Boys and numerous others.

A variety of activities are on tap for the four-day event, to include performance workshops, a youth talent competition, artisans and vendors, rides and activities for children, a petting zoo and more.

A donation of canned goods will be accepted and given to Capital Area Food Bank of Texas.
