Supporters eat at FB breakfast
along with many other Farm Bureau organizations across the nation, observed Food Checkout Day recently with a Hearty Farm-Fresh Breakfast served to a number of participants. Local FB directors did the cooking. The breakfast consisted of scrambled eggs, biscuits, bacon, sausage, juice, milk, jelly, jam, butter and coffee. The meal was served for $.45 per plate.

Lampasas County Farm Bureau served its annual Hearty Farm-Fresh Breakfast to a large number of residents.
This marks the fifth year the local Farm Bureau has used the breakfast as a means to bring the low cost of food to the attention of Lampasas County residents.

The event was covered by local media; Channel 10 from Waco; Tom Nicolette, director of media services for Texas Farm Bureau Public Relations; and Ed Wolff, TFB public relations producer. It later was broadcast on RFD-TV's "Voice of Agriculture."

Texas is the nation's second-leading state in agricultural production. Agricultural commodities add about $14 billion to the state's economy, which makes agriculture the second-largest industry in Texas.
