CTC to hold special events to honor women During March, Women's History Month will be observed at Central Texas College. Several special events are scheduled. On Tuesday, a women's car care clinic will be held from 6-7:30 p.m. at the CTC automotive lab of the Vocational Skills Center, bldg. 118. Register for the free clinic by phoning (254) 526-1258. Space is limited to the first 15 registrants. A free self-defense workshop is scheduled Wednesday from 11 a.m. to noon, offered by campus police at the upper Student Center, bldg. 106. The event is open to all students, faculty/staff and the public. On Thursday, a workshop, Retirement Strategies for Women," will be held in the Human Resources training room, bldg. 103, room 153. A CPA and financial adviser will share what it will take to retire and have your money last longer than you do. The workshop, set from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., is free and open to the public. ![]() |
