Church women's ministry set to hold spring event

ESSENCE, New Covenant Church's women's ministry, will host a spring event, "A Time to Replenish."

The event will be April 5 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the church sanctuary.

The speaker is Susan Thomas from the Dallas-Fort Worth area. "Susan is a woman who loves speaking to women about the promises of God," said a church spokesperson.

A licensed professional counselor and wife to Brandon Thomas, pastor of Keystone Church, Mrs. Thomas has focused for more than a decade on marriage counseling and women's issues. These include anxiety, depression, sexual abuse and many other changes women face.

"Susan has a passion for seeing lives changed by the power of God and the joy of a life lived in intimacy with Jesus," the spokesperson said.

All women are invited to attend "A Time to Replenish." Lunch will be provided, as well as child care for 3-year-olds and under.

Interested persons are asked to call the church office at 556-6131 by March 31 if they plan to attend or need additional information.
