Parties select delegates for county conventions

L ampasas County Republican and Democratic parties

will hold their county conventions March 29. The Lampasas County Republican Party convention will convene at 6:30 p.m. in the district courtroom, and the Lampasas County Democratic Party will meet at 10 a.m. at the Senior Citizens Center.

For the Republicans, Raymond Upp, Olivia Upp, William Haisler, Cinda Haisler, William Schroeter and Madonna Schroeter will represent Precinct 1 as delegates.

Precinct 2 Republican delegates include B.R. "Skipper" Wallace, Marcia Wallace, Andrew Garcia, Ruth Garcia, Jim Lowe, Gail Lowe, David Lowe, Wayne Boultinghouse, Sherry Boultinghouse, George Anderson and Patricia Anderson.

Also, Alton Marwitz, Carole Marwitz, Shawn Wheeler, Haley Wheeler, James Strickland, Marilyn Strickland, Mayela Banks, Linda Honea, Darrell Feemster, Connie Feemster, James Welch, Ruth Welch, William White and Cynthia White were named delegates.

Precinct 3 Republican delegates are Bruce Crawford, Linda Crawford, Harry Hendrix, Elizabeth Hendrix, Mike Tooley and Suzanne Tooley.

Precinct 4 elected the following Republican delegates: Jeff McDonald, Diana McDonald, Ed Lilley, Sue Lilley, Robert Wright III, Carol Wright, Sid Wieser, Denise Seibert, John Seibert, Gregory Hupp, Suzanna Hupp, Max Coats and Lindy Coats. Alternates from the precinct are David Curtis and Ildiko Curtis.

Precinct 5 convention-goers elected four delegates: Keith Fontaine, Betty Fontaine, Harlon Fowler and Laresa Fowler.

Republican delegates from Precinct 6 are Zane Harry and Albert Solomon.

Precinct 7 delegates include Sandra Lockett, Shawn Lockett, Marcella Lockett, Stacy Pauly, William Pauly and Misty Maldonado. Alternates are Richard Lockett, David Ivey, Donald Bell, Joanne DeVuyst, Larry DeVuyst and Mario Maldonado.

Precinct 8 delegates to the Republican county convention are T.P. Wingo, Janice Kliza, Raymond Keele, Dorothy Keele, Arlene Wingo, Joyce Allison, Charles Allison, Harvey Farish and Debra Farish. Darrell Butler is the alternate from Precinct 8.

Precinct 9 Republican delegates are Dennis Scroggins and Vicki McLean. Alternates are Ruth Sasse and Glenda Scroggins.

For Precinct 10, Republican delegates are Matthew Hogue and Kirby Foster.

Democratic caucus-goers in Precinct 1 selected seven delegates for presidential candidate Barack Obama: Neil Glover, Bernice Bradshaw, Carolyn Jackson, Ellington D. Lockett, Edward Cherry, Michele Cherry and Barbara Williams. The precinct will send four Obama alternates: John Marchbanks, Gloria Johnson, Cynthia Thomas and Helga Lockett.

Precinct 1 delegates for presidential candidate Hillary Clinton include Phil Stucker, Carolyn Huls and Carol Nunez. Clinton alternates are Son T. Thai, Hanna Stewart and Emilie Sousounis.

Precinct 2 awarded eight delegates and eight alternates to the county convention for Clinton and Obama.

Clinton delegates include Rebecca Delgado, Mark Patterson, Eloisa Rodriguez, Christina Stapleton, Joshua Stapleton, Jane Tooker, Joe Valdez and Rita Valdez. Clinton alternates are Jasmine Bruns, Becky Felan, Felix Felan, Ann Hughes, Sandra Johnson, Judy Patterson, Kelly Pipkins and Gabriel Rodriguez.

Obama delegates are Sharon Archie, Layla Breshers, Alicia Collins, Julie Davis-Raley, Roberta Gradel, Kimberly Hale, Jennifer Scribner and Steven Smith.

Obama alternates include Yvonne Beatty, Nancy Brown, Mary Black Davis, Tom Fletcher Lenz, Bob Popejoy, Jan Sewall, Kristin Smith and Greg Smith.

Precinct 3 elected four delegates and four alternates for Mrs. Clinton and two apiece for Obama. Clinton delegates are Les Gerhardt, Ellen McFarland, Brenda Melder and Victoria Melder. Clinton alternates are Janet Gerhardt, Kevin Lewis, Amando Maldonado and Wanda Meyers.

Daniel Melder and Amanda Savage will represent the precinct as Obama delegates, with Cheryl Dugger and Gerald Harper serving as alternates.

Precinct 4 Clinton delegates are Leah Snell, Sam Potts, Hyman Izbicki, Cora Farley, James Farley and Glenda Dale Funk. Clinton alternates are Peter Carmouche, Gaynelle Carmouche, Christopher Barnes, Guillermo Pena, Gloria Pena and Frances Killingsworth.

Bruce Frizzell, Almeta Powell and Kathryn Williams will represent Precinct 4 as Obama delegates, with James Hillard, John Paradice and Edgardo Gonzalez as alternates.

From Precinct 5, Perry Winn will serve as the Clinton delegate, and Shirley Bates will be the alternate. David Lancaster will be the Obama delegate, with Charles Fields named as alternate.

Precinct 6 elected Barbara Burkes as the Clinton delegate and Clara Faught as the alternate.

Precinct 7 will send six Clinton delegates: Norris Monroe, Wanda Monroe, Charles Hood, Nina Lee Rasmussen, Howard Rasmussen and Shawna Hill. Clinton alternates are Gayle Meyers, Mary Medders, Anita Hicks, Lynette Carrow, Walter Powell and Jacklyn Duncan.

Casey Norman, Clementine Lewis and Charles O'Bryan will represent Precinct 8 as Obama delegates. James Harold Wait, Leonard Myles and Jeannie Drayton will be Obama alternates.

Mrs. Clinton received two delegates and two alternates in Precinct 8. Laron Scott and Ashley Norton will serve as delegates, with Mary Pamela Dibbern and Veronica Berrins-Scott named alternates.

Precinct 10 elected three Clinton delegates: Charles St. George, Ellen St. George and Andrea Bowsher. Pamela Wilson, Ross Zimmerle and Terri Dowdy will be Clinton alternates.

Precinct 9 did not report to Lampasas County Democratic Party Chairman Keith King.
